Coopesarapiqu, the town’s major cooperative, brings together over 200 small farmers who produce organic coffee from the four areas of San Carlos, Sarapiqui, Heredia, and Alajuela.
My Cafecito is currently a thriving tourist and agricultural co-op in Costa Rica, providing numerous job possibilities for residents of the community as well as connecting local farmers and craftsmen with a market to sell their products, considerably helping the town’s economic growth.
