MY HIGHLIGHTS OF THE TRIPS

Seeing all of Sri Lanka
We travelled up and down the length of the country, taking in scenes from the local villages, luxury resorts and the hustle and bustle of Colombo city. It was a spectacular experience.

Cooking on the Beach
We had the chance to cook traditional Sri Lankan cuisine on the beach with some amazing hotel chefs. All ingredients had been freshly sourced at the local market. The prawn curry was my fav!

The Wildlife
I couldn’t quite believe my eyes when we spotted an elephant walking down the side of the road. The tour guides were amazing and pulled over so we could capture some amazing pictures of the beautiful animals. Monkeys were also relaxing on my balcony and jumping between the trees under the infinity pool it was surreal

Sun Siyam Pasikudah
Sun Siyam Pasikudah was the epitome of luxury – 5-star, all-inclusive, luxury. The rooms were modernly beautiful and the supersize, outdoor bathroom was my favourite feature. A jacuzzi bath, outside, under the stars.

What more could you wish for?

Elephant Safari
This was a truly magical experience. The Minneriya National Park is home to the largest gathering of Asian elephants in the world and we were lucky enough to see around 17 Asian elephants during our open top jeep safari.

Sigiriya Rock

On our first full day in Sri Lanka, we planned a sunrise hike to Sigiriya Rock. It took us around 1 hour up and down and the views were so worth it, especially as the sun was rising. We even saw some cheeky monkeys on the way up.
