I travelled all over Australia, but my favourite city has to be Sydney. There was plenty to do and great nightlife! I would highly recommend Darling Harbour for it’s vibrant nightlife and great restaurants. My one top tip for Sydney, is to take a ferry up to Manly for great views of Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House and to make it extra amazing, get a taxi back to travel over the bridge.

With so many beaches on offer, it is so difficult to choose my favourite beach, but i would definitely recommend Byron Bay.  Very relaxed atmosphere, great surfing, unspoiled beaches and fantastic seafood. If you visit Byron Bay, definitely take a visit to Australia’s most easterly point, the Byron Lighthouse. Beautiful.

As I loved Sydney so much, the best experience that I  would recommend to everyone, would be the cycle tour of Sydney. The sites were stunning and there was so much to see! I would also encourage everyone to try surfing in Bondi or Byron Bay. Take in at least 2 or 3 different parts of Australia, to make the most of the food, cities and beach areas.

If you ever wanted to visit Australia, I would definitely recommend to take in some of Asia with a stopover in Hong Kong or Singapore. Not only does this allow you to see another part of the World, but it breaks your travel time up.

My final bit of advice would be not to pack too much. Everything in Australia is really informal like America, with the only exception being fancy restaurants in Sydney etc.
